UPDATE (10/01/2022): The Spellbreak servers have finally gone offline. However, it's not all doom and gloom - the Spellbreak Dev Team have generously put up a community version on itch.io for use on community and private servers.

UPDATE (28/06/2022): Spellbreak will be shutting down in early 2023. Proletariat announced this on their blog. They have also been bought out by Blizzard Entertainment to work on World of Warcraft and its Dragonflight expansion.

Y: Spellbreak! I played this a little bit when it first came out and it was a fun game. I really liked the synergy of the elements, and the greater sense of progression and build variety available compared to other games like it.

H: It definitely had a lot of potential. I played the tutorial and I was excited to try it, even though I don’t usually like Battle Royale games.

Y: But…

H: A real shame we couldn’t get into a single game after about 10 minutes of waiting.

Y: Turns out the last content update was almost a year ago (July 2021), and the last patch was in September 2021.

H: *awkward silence*

Y: R.I.P Spellbreak.
